Apple's new "Research Kit" is a world changing technology

I know everyone, myself included, is incredibly excited by the Apple watch release announcement yesterday.  Also, the new macbook is an excellent fit in the lineup, and very nice.  However, the biggest announcement Apple made was the release of "Research Kit".  Single handedly, Apple has just transformed the way medical research will be conducted.  This may be the single biggest break through in medical research since the mapping of the human genome.  This allows participation in medical research, with real time, practical interventions for a variety of diseases out of the box, and the simplified app development process will mean that thousands more research projects will pop up quickly.  Couple that with the bio-feedback of the apple watch, or even the built in accelerometer in the iPhone now, and the richness of real data, not just self reported from memory, will be a huge boon to medical researchers.  I urge all of my colleagues in the medical research field to quickly familiarize themselves with this world changing innovation. Apple Research Kit
